Seats?
I think we've putmy Dunlop front tire issue to bed...new topic. I'm considering a Sundowner Deep Bucket (two-up) for my '06 DWG. Can anyone who's got one tell me if it shortened up your leg reach any, or made it easier to flat-foot? With my stock seat, the forwards are not quite a stretch for my 31" inseam, but not quite comfortable either. I know they make the Reach seat, but does the SDB place somewhere between it, and stock? Anyone withsimilar dimensions (5'9" and 31" inseam), how have you made the forwardsmore comfortable? Figger'd I should start with a comfortable seat upgradebefore I consider altering the forwards any. Thanks.
It moves you a little closer forward to the pegs, and a little higher reach to the ground. It's a subtle change in riding position.I added highway pegs since this picture, isa very comfortable ride.
I had one on my Custom for a couple of hours. Moved you slightly forward but put more material between your legs, so the feel at a stop with feet on the ground felt like it took some of the flat foot feeling away. Very comfortable seat, riding. I just didn't like the look on my bike.
I had a sundowner on my 07 Street Bob for 1 ride. I am 5'11" with a 32" inseam. I was running with standard HD hiway pegs not forwards ( similar enough I supose ). Anyway the seat as far as comfort was very nice and sort of hugged you in the seat. It does move you slightly forward and up a bit. I was looking for comfort with out being moved so I got rid of mine.
Mustang Mustang Mustang!!!! I have a 07 FXDB and I went with the vintage solo and vintage wide passanger pillion. What a difference. Ride ALL day no issues. Passanger rides better than the solo. Nice to be able to remove rear seat when you want to. I am 5'4" and my feet are flat on the ground (1" rear drop). Their 2up seats are probably even nicer.
Any issues with marks on the fender form the passenger seat when you go solo? That is the only thing I am worrying about.
