It's not that I don't have faith that an HD won't hold up. If I 'm going that fast, a crotch rocket gives me a more natural feeling of control at high speeds.

thing is I have done the crotch rocket thing. But they are souless and unleess you are doingsilly speeds all the time dont have an other use.Only bike that comes close to a mix of the two is a Ducati 916, sadly i had to sell mine when we moved to pay the deposit on the house, plus belive Me 150 on a harley feels like 200 on a kwak butthe look you get when you gas the harley and pull away from guys on rice burners is priceless

I have got to go with Ribcracker on this one, I have a 02 WG with a 117" in it, I have 16" apes in 4" risers, and if you can believe this a jockey shift. I love it and there is nothing better than dusting someone who thinks it is just an old Harley. ( mine is rattlecan flat black and not much chrome plus it is myEDTso I don't clean it much,so I get the piece of **** thing alot).

Need to ask, if you are going that fast is it on a track or street or out on country roads. Just wondering about how far I would roll if a cager pulled out or an animal ran in front. I think that it is great if you can go that fast but my bike runs fast enough to kill me at 70 to 80 and sometimes 90. That size moter is way to expensive for me, you must have a very high paying job or single. I am a little jealous.

well a cage pulling at on you at 30 can kill ya. In fact it was a cager on His mobile phone whogot Me that seed meant Ihad the money to build the bike I did before this one and then soldso I could stat again on a different bike. Shouldnt have sold My first dyan and built a softy chop hence goign back to adyna now. Don't forget I don't live state side and the pace off traffic here is a lot faster. No speed limits on the auto-bahns either. Been riding 27 years and used to hold a FIM and ACU race license till I quit racing. Also worked as amotorcycle instructor and do on average 18K miles ayear. Not sure why I am justifyingMy riding skills but hey now you know.

No thanks. Back in my ricer days, I ran up to 110 once and that was plenty for me. I'll leave the high speeds to my planes!

I hope you guys aren't on a track cause I'll really feel stupid saying this, but my 98 LR is about a 1/2 stage, don't think its a stage 1 but its had some carb jetting and a some screaming eagle pipes put on it(least back half say S.E.), otherwise I think its stock(just bought it 2 months ago), and while on the freeway today, I cranked it up and if my speedo is right I hit 118 and it was still pullin when I backed out of it for fear of getting a ticket. I think it would have hit 125 or better if I would have stayed on the throttle. Please don't tell me that they were doing 150 in the 1/4 milebecause I don't want to bury my head in shame. I thought mine did pretty good today.
