Naw, I don't have that great a job and I am not single but my only interest isin my Harley. I don't try to serve to masters. Alot of people I ride with have other interest to divide their time and money. I don't. I love my bike, plus I did not build it overnight it took a long time and like Ribcracker, not much left that is stock. As far as the speed goes, had a good friend go down doing maybe 30, 35. Rib puctured his heart, stone cold dead.So 30 or 140, I leave that up to the man upstairs, when it is my time, it is my time.
I would have to agree Elvis when its your time to go its your time to go like one of my tattoos say
" Life is hard Death is easy " and if your gonna go you might as well be going fast and smiling with bugs in your teeth better than dieing while at work.
I will say the only thing that bike and mine share is a common frame. Fast doesn't begin to describe it. That thing with the cartridge front suspension and progressive rear shocks handles at over 120 better than mine does at 60.
Adrenalin was in no short supply when I got back to the dealership![8D]
the other thing about how much and how wonderfull a job and so on we must have is this. It cost Me less to get My 124" EVO dyna than the dealers wanted for a stock street bob. so does that mean all the guys with brand new stock bikes are mega rich and single ? Took Me years and a lot of pain to get where I am now and the bike will never be finished cus there wil always be something I want to do to it. Well thats not quite true as there can coem a point where a big mod you want to do might mean its more economic to sell up and start with a fresh bike which is what I did. My last chop got to the point it was goign to cost a hell of a lot to change soem stuff which I had already changed in the past yay for a bike evolving. So this time I went looking for a dyan withthe best engine and trans for the money I had. The rest I can do in the shed but as of yet I aint up to casting new crankcases and cutting My own sett of trans gears and shafts. Thats how I afford to do this I get bits of scrap metal and make My own stuff out of them rather than pay someone else labour time to fab a bracket or strut.
Oh and this helped get the ball rolling to go from My ducati to a harley, just think next time you go to pick up that cell phone when your driving down the road
