I went to install the lift kit and while testing for clearance, I noticed the hose that runs from the console of my tank (not the wiring) has come loose. This is off of a 07 FXD. Is that hose supposed to connect to anything under the console? Do I need to take console off and reconnect it to something? Thanks!
I'm asking this question, not trying to say I know the answer... But is that hose the tank vent hose? If so, where does the end that's not connect to the little tank nozzle under the console go?
Yup, its the vent.
The hose slips on to a one way valve that lets air in and vapors out, but closes when the fuel level is high in the tank so you dont have one of those unexpected surprises.
The other end is supposed to go to that little black canister that nobody seems to have anymore. If you never had the canister to begin with, then I suspect the hose just goes into the abyss, never to be heard from again.

Ahhhh, okay. I think Ido have that tiny little black cannister up in front of the tank.
