Now I am worried that my Rush (and perhaps any) slip-ons will not be loud enough for me. Fat Bob on the way; rush SO's with 2" baffels. Used to Metric with hard krome 3" straights (not the HD sound of course, but nice for a metric and plenty loud). I want to be able to get back into the neighborhood late at night without people calling the police, but I want a good bit of volume to go with my new throaty rumble. What to do, what to do.
I had the Rush slipons with 1 1/2", then 2" baffles.
When I came into the neighborhood at night I did it in 3rd gear or coasting to try to avoid setting off car alarms along the street. They should be loud enough and really bark under throttle.
I switched to V&H BSS for appearance, a deeper and louder sound - but it cost me a little in HP and torque.
I originally had the 2.25 baffels ordered, but they say that the difference in volume is less than the difference in performance (i.e. less performance for possibly just a little more volume).
I also have the 2" Rush and they are loud enough for my satisfaction but not so loud that I annoy the neighbors as long as I don't go roaring down the street.
