Loud is subjective...Short shots is loud but I heard it is difficult to tune. I have 3" Rush with 2.25" baffles and it is loud with a deep tone. I also used the older SEIIs and those have a good sound too. I am always near other bikes and mine is louder than most....except the short shots and perhaps the 2 in 1's
I have a '15 xl883n that I put Python slip-ons on and I'll tell you its loud! Totally changed my bike from the sewing machine it was to give it that loud harley rumble. I downloaded a DB meter on my phone (who knows the accuracy but whatever) and at the tip of the exhaust it registers at 117 db.
