Default Gas Cap Rattles?

Gas cap rattles.
OK, it’s probably a simple solution however I don’t know it.
Any suggestions?

not sure as to an easier fix sorry man.

Chrome cap lid is probably not tight on the cap itself. Less headache to just buy a new one, or excahnge the one you have if you just bought it!

I fixed my sportster cap by turning it upside down on a block of wood and using an awl, "krimped" the steel lip on the underside with a soft-blow hammer. Worked like a charm.

A hammer, sounds safer than holding my hand on the
gas cap when I ride over bumps.
I may just get another one for and keep this one for a paper weight, like I
don’t have enough of them.

Buy a new one..and get in the habit of not tightening till it starts clicking. Just snug it up and it will never start rattling
