Thunderheader Installed (Fat Bob)
Here's what was done:
- Thunderheader 2:1
- Arlen Ness "Big Sucker" Stage I Kit (capped by Drag Specialties Air Cleaner Cover)
- Power Commander III (pre-programmed by Fuel Moto)
The sound, the newfound responsiveness of the engine, the right maps (it seems)... I'm a happy camper.
When I get around to it I'll post some video so you can hear it.

Installation:
Thunderheader: No surprises. Haven't installed the heat shields yet. Discoloration is already apparent on the bends of the pipes. It really doesn't bother me though.
PC III: We couldn't get it to fit in the space suggested by the directions so it sits under the seat. I had to remove a plastic bracket to get the seat to sit flush, but all is fine. Oddly, getting the seat to sit flush probably took longer than installing the pipe.
Big Sucker: No surprises. In fact, very easy kit.
Fuel Moto's maps appear to be spot on. I haven't had the bike Dyno'ed yet. I want to run Jamie's maps for at least a week to get a good feel for how the bike is running. Then, if I feel I can get more out of the bike, I'll take extra steps.
I've only put about 50 miles on her since getting all the pieces to fit... today... that's another story. I'ma make this fat chick earn her meal.

In fact, that's enough writing. Time to wake up these lazy, shiftless neighbors of mine.
Be waiting to hear how they sound.
And how long it takes to get the grin off your face..............

So I finally got around to fitting the Thunderheader onto my Fat Bob. I wanted to wait until I got around 2000 miles on it. Of course I also took the bike to stage 1 at the same time.

I probably won't be doing anything to the bike this year except a seat and backrest, but next year possibly I'll put on pipes like these, the SE aircleaner and SERT.
