I'm looking at a Street Bob in either Black denim or vivid black. I can't make up my freakin mind! How hard is the black denim to keep clean? To me it looks like it would be harder, but I'd like to hear from some folks that have it.
Ditto Original Junior, I couldn't believe it. I went to my first bike fest Saturday night, as soon as I got off my bike this guy walks up and says "it looks just like mine", yep, he had a demin also on the other side of the parking lot. It was pretty cool though, I got to see what mine would look like with fork bags, a sissy bar and slip ons. (That kinda sounds pornographic) hahahaha
Black Denim here. It is the easiest thing I have ever had to keep clean. I just wipe it down with a rag and that is that. I use my bike for every day transport (600 miles in 3 weeks) so I wanted a really easy to maintain paint job. This one does the trick. I am curious how it will wear. Should be pretty cool though adn the bike will ahve its own character.
I may order a separate set of fenders and a tank and do a custom paint on those or I may do a flat dark gray ghost flame on the bike. That should blend in with the paint nicely.
I do not think there are as many Street Bobs as there is buzz about Street Bobs. All the Dealers here in Atlanta and Birmingham can barely even get their hands on them and they are generally sold before they ever hit the floor. This bike will go down as one of Harley's true classics. I wonder how long it will take for the metrics to come out with copies?
Yea I agree.
I have a friend that asked me why I didn't buy a "honder", he said you could have bought two of those for what you paid. I told him I'm not into buying clones. Harley has never made a bike specifically to look like a metric yet the metric companies do it to Harley everyday.
I say be original and use your mind and come up with something like nobody else and better then anybody else and it'll be a success.
Harley's the only one doing it and it shows in their success with these new bikes.
