Found these when I was researching new shocks. I haven't seen them posted even though I've seen a few posts in recent weeks about alternatives to strut mounted turn signals. Very interesting option. Of course, it appears you have to have either Progressive 812 or 412 shocks to use them.
Any thoughts on this if you are carrying a passenger - would their legs block the lights?

They look pretty good, but passengers blocking them is a concern.

my personal feeling is that if you're going to go to this level - why not just take the signals off and leave them off?
what good do these really do? The strut mounted sigs are very close together and not very visible - these look even less visible. You're basically sitting on them.
They will look great on the bike - but are probably not legal as the only turn indicator in most states that require turn signals.

I don't know. I'm not here a lot on weekends and haven't heard from Jake but once since he got home. I know he bought some lights that mount on the ends of the struts and wasn't real happy with them so maybe he did find and post about these, but I didn't see it.
glide05, I see where you are coming from and them not being seen is a big concern of mine which is why I've stayed with the stockers anyway. However, using nothing vs. something wouldn't be an option in my mind. I don't want any motorist to be able to say, in court, that they didn't see my turn signal because I didn't have any on my bike.
I'm not really looking for other options right now but I thought I'd post in case anyone was and hadn't seen them. I know nobody brought them up when Jake was looking for options. But, they may have not been out then.

ya - I was being a bit sarcasitc - but it sounds like we have the same opinion regarding visiblity. I think the strut mounted ones look great - but for safetly reasons - the more visible - the better. Also - I appear to have different tastes than most that post here - I don't mind the "brow" on the SG and LR, and I think that the rear sigs actually look pretty good (oh - and I like cast wheels and have yet to paint anything black )

Same here. I like the different options some people choose but have never developed a dislike for the stock rear turn signals or location. It could be better but not worth investing any serious money in for my tastes.
When I went to buy a sissy bar, I let the kid behind the counter talk me into a rigid one because he didn't like the way the detachable hardware kit made the turn signals look. But, I hated that sissy bar there all the time after a while. So, I took it off and put a detachable on and am happy with it.
I haven't painted anything black either but I can appreciate those that do. A nice blacked out bike looks just as good to me as a well-chromed one. I just happen to prefer the chrome.
I like spoked wheels but I hate cleaning them so I certainly appreciate the cast ones as well.
I dont know if they would be LESS visable than the strut lights, but they certainly would'nt be any more visable. Because the fender isblocking them from certain angles, someone would have to be directly behind you to see them.
I saw these a couple of weeks ago while I was perusing the web. I don't see that they sell them yet and have yet to find any resellers that have them either. I was thinking of getting them and ditching the rear signals. I also have the Kuryakyn Panacea taillight with the built in blinkers but it's not very visible which is why I put my rear signals back on after I noticed that people were getting awfully close when I was slowing down to turn. As soon as I put the rear signals back on people didn't get so close so I knew that the Panacea taillight wasn't enough after that. I was thinking these shock lights may make up for that and allow me to lose the rear signals again; only one way to find out though so I'll probably pick them up once they're available.
