I know you said you are loyal to your sales guy but he is at a crappy dealer. If I were going to put that much $ into the bike from the get go I would take it to an indy. He built it and he will be able to repair it and tune it in the future for you. You don't know who you will get to work on your bike at the dealer. Dealer techs come and go.
I am pretty green about this, so take what I say with a grain of salt....
I just paid 16,500 for an '08 StreetBob in denim black and all I had added was slip on pipes, stage I kit, removable luggage rack and sissy bar. Oh, and a new helmet.
Kind of looks like I didn't do as well as I could have.....
