Default raise handlebars some

I have a 08 SuperGlide Custom and love it. Interested in raising my handlebars some but not a lot. I have heard of the mini-ape but not sure if this will work with my DXFC and how much it will raise my reach. Advise please.

Sit on a Street Bob and see how it fits you. If you want to stay with the stock bars, you could look into changing the risers. I changed the bars entirely because I wanted a little more height but also wanted my hand position to be more straight out than the stock FXDC bars. I spent a lot of time at the dealer, though, figuring out the most comfortable solution to what I wanted. I'm not sure, if you go with mini-apes, if cable/wire lengths will become an issue for you or not - but check into that also.

Mini apes on my 07 FXDB come stock with 10†with a 2†riser.
I’ve had both the 4†and 3†risers, 3’ currently on bike..
Looks like your stock risers are the same as stock on a 07 FXDB
with 6-1/2†handlebars.
If that helps any.

Has the right idea.

It’s not always easy to get the right combination
of looks and comfort. Just a small inch can make
a huge difference in comfort on longer rides.
If your going to change you seat also plays a part.
