Exhaust Vent
The pipes were a nice change from the stock sound! Seemed toimprove the feel of the bike with all the air and ECM modsexcept at lower speeds of about 30mph tends to sputter or pop a little more (may be me not used to it and in too higha gear). I have to do a lot of 15 and 30mph ridingaround the air base.
Alsothe newsweet spot is set around70 MPH which is an improvement over the stock set up of around 50mph, but it seems to want to stay at 70 and have to open the throttle a lot more to getit moving over 70mph.
I than installed the quiet baffels, took them out today. I hate them! My motor (coming from front) is really loud now ( I can hear bearings and lifters and anything else moving in there) due to the back pressure I supposeand it alsosounds like someone is banging the side of my bike with a hammer, not a smooth rumble at all. It totally changed my shift points. I can't wind it out as much between shifting. I find myself shifting a lot more at lower speeds back and forth to keep it in the right gear. It just doesn't have a nice fine tuned sound to me.
I guess I will go back to the standard baffels and get used to the noise. It doesn't botherME thatmuch but I feel bad for neighbors and other folks that may find it a bit loud. I'll get over it [sm=lildevil.gif]They have a high freq, tinny sound that is not quite what I was looking for.
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest, after spending the big bucks for the big shots. I know I will get a lot of replies on you should have got "my" set-up, but if there are any other mods or baffels that folks have tried I would be very intereasted to hear.
Peace
