Congrats on the bike! I am 100% biased also but all Harleys are great bikes. The most exciting part about them is making it your own so open up that pocket book. Remember to always check ebay for used harley parts. Often they are in great shape and cost about half that of the dealer. I only use the dealer for my impulse buys. Everything else is Ebay. For instance i got a set of slip-on vance and hines for $49 shipped to my house! Off some guys 07 wide glide. Great to have you on the forum. Get some pics up soon!
Thanks everyone, the thing is I know nothing about bikes. I am a rookie. Talking about 2" inch lifts I have no clue what that means, the one thing is though I want to change the foot pegs so I can stretch out I am 6'7 is it hard to do?
the bros on here have great advice, I am a first time harley owner,And all I can say if you ride with a good group, and you want to install mods on your own, with their help and the help on here it can be dont,I just installed 16 apes and forwards on mine by myself well with some riding bros and a few questions answered by bros on here and it is all good.
Good choice!! Buy the manual.................... Keep coming back here, so we can give you lots of ideas to help you go broke.
The bike doesn't NEED anything, just regular service, gas and a willing rider. Just ride it and enjoy it for awhile, then open your check book, or pull out the plastic................ or just sit there in front of your computer and order addons to your hearts desire.
Its a DRUG, one of the most addicting things ever!!!!! Its the devils work!!!!!!!! I can't get enough.....every so often you get a catalog with new items, then theres other companies, kuryakyn, drag, performance machine etc etc etc, it doesn't end. it will keep you up at night, obsess you, drive you insane....WELCOME TO THE FAMILY.....love my HD, best thing I EVER BOUGHT
You can do a ton of stuff to it. Just order any aftermarket parts catalog and you will find lots of different accessories that you can add to your bike.
Also, I would recommend having any mechanical work done by a dealer.
