For those of you that have Cycle Shack slipons.. Do you like the sound? How are they compared to the stock mufflers? Thinking about putting a set on my 07 FXDC
Got them on my 06 DWG. Yea I like the sound, even if they are a bit loud. I think the Rush slip-ons sound a bit better, but they cost twice as much. If your on a budget, Cycle Shacks are your best bet for the money. I'm happy with mine.
They sound nice had them on my super glide. Switched to Vance and Hines which were a bit deeper, then I switched to the quiet baffles which made them even deeper.
Spend a few more bucks on the Vance and Hines, you wont be sorry.
Well I just put some on my Super Glide tonight and took her our for a spin. They are way louder than stock, I was very surprised much louder than I expected. I think they sound pretty good at least for the little bit I heard them tonight
I have them on my 07 FXDC and I think they sound great. I went to the local dealer before I bought the Cycle Shack slipons andthey let me listen to some of the bikes with different exhaust. To me the CS slipons sounded just right and the price was right. Hope that helps.
Since we are on the subject - for those of you with CS slipons, do yours just have a backpressure flap and no baffles? I have a set of SE I's (I think) and they are very light, no baffles, only a flap for backpressure. Someone told me they were made by CS, but I still have no idea. Not a big deal, just curious. Like the way they sound, but would like something a bit deeper. For $36 on ebay, I can't complain though In answer to the original question: way louder than stock, but in my opinion, not obnoxious. They definately echo in the neighborhood at o'dark thirty though...

I agreed with you Don51 , I think it is a little bit louder than the SE .

+1
And yes, they do have an actual baffle.
