Just put them on my 07 FXDI a few weeks ago and they sound great. Bought them off a guy on this Forum who went with a 2 into 1.
I had SEII'sbefore these and the V&H are so much nicer. They sound deeper, are louder and performance has definitely increased.
If you're not going to replace the whole exhaust, these slipons are the only way to go!
They are nice but I would suggest looking into the Rush slipons as well....IMHO they look better on the bike and sound better too.
Not to mention you have several choices of baffle and they can slash down/ bologna cut or straight.
I went to the dealer to buy the V&H and simply ended up with the Rush for reasons mentioned above.
Slash down in pix. They are a thicker longer canister and hide the connecting bar really well compared to the V&H.
I've got em too. I ended up putting in the "quiet baffles" (not really that quiet). The baffles took some of the raspiness out of the
sound and, I think, provided a little back pressure that helped the torque. The V&H's give your bike a sort of hot rod sound IMO. If I had more money and was single, LOL I would swap out with the Rush to see if they gave the bike a deeper more "Harley" sound.

Skitzer, I agree with you 100%. Except for the part about the guy (yours truly) going with a 2 into 1. LOL - I went with 2 into 2 Big Radius.
Anyway, Skitz is right, they look and sound great. I disagree with Rounder but then everyone likes a different look. One thing I liked about the V&H's were that they followed the lines of the header pipes and look almost like straight pipes with 2 piece heat shields.
As far as the torque goes, I didn't notice any real loss of torque with just the standard baffles. I'm sure some could have been measured on a dyno but the bike felt great. I hear the quiet baffles do give it an even nicer sound though - and they are fairly cheap to add on if you want.
I love the V&H SS slipon. Great sound, really loud, and it improved the flow a ton. The only way I would get something different on my WG is if I go with a 2:1 like the Fatcats or Thunderheader.
I have these pipes and think there great. I had the same ones on my Sportster and didnt think about any other choice when i got my Bob. Best bang for the buck out there. Sure you can get more power, better looks, etc. For the price, they cant be beat.
Had my stock mufflers drilled out and replaced them with the V & H Slip ons. I put the quiet baffles on them right out of the box. They are quite loud, maybe not the loudest but loud enough. My low end torque improved noticably. Very happy
Pretty much what everyone else said here - I have'em, I like like'em. Sound great look good. I used the SE A/C and the dealer map - no fuss no muss. Just works.
