Pretty much what everyone else said here - I have'em, I like like'em. Sound great look good. I used the SE A/C and the dealer map - no fuss no muss. Just works.
Turkey if you don't mind me asking what did the dealer map run you?
$150 for the dealer map, $139 for the SE A/C, forgot what I paid for the V&H slip-ons. I got 'em from Eastern, or something - whatever the going rate was last summer.
I put the V&H Straight Shot slip-on's on my bike along with the SE air kit and V&H Fuel Pak. All three are VERY SIMPLE to do; was completely finished with the job within two hours (and that included beer/smoke breaks).
Sounds is nice and deep. Performance is enhanced (according to my a$$). It was between these pipes (simple, straight pipe) or the short shot staggered and I opted for the slip-ons as they tend to have a lower tone than the short pipes do. Personal preference.
I have had MANY V&H exhausts systems, this is my first slip-on experience and I am very pleased with the fit. You just need to take a moment to properly line the heat shield with the front pipe heat shield. Awesome look!
I just installed them on my 07 Street Bob. Man they are loud and they sound killer. Ibought them off eBay for $195, the dealer wanted 300 and something.I was leaning towards Rush butI liked the Vance and Hines.I know I need to post some pictures. [/align]
Nope. Nothing, everything I have read and the people I talk to say you are ok if you don't touch the a/c, andtheysound killer. The temp was 30 in OH today and I had to take it down the road a few times. Man does it sound great.
