I am trying to decide if I want to take off my badges (which I dislike A LOT by the way) and leave the tank "blank", remove the stock ones for some other type I like, or just leave the stock ones alone. Ithought I'd let this forum decide the outcome. Depending on the rsults, I'll post pics when I'm done.
See the sig pic if you don't know what the '08 FXDC badges look like...
i pulled mine... loner is making me a custom set... the last set he made me i am using on my other bike... i say you leave them the way you have it now, with all the chrome it ties in nicely
I like them as well.....but if you dont....by all means replace them....they are cheap...and if you change your mind you can always go back....get something different....or leave them off....I changed mine (removed the infamous letter opener) the day I brought the bike home.
I vote replace them with something you like. I'm in the process of converting my Superglide to a Street Bob tank and I'm going to use the '61 - '62FL "star" nameplates.
I took the badges off because my polish rag was always getting hung up. Got some matching color Harley stickers that look much better than stock but still not really what I wanted.
Would post a pic but there is no browze button.
Most difficult site I have ever seen for posting a pic or even trying to see a thread, especially if it has a lot of replys. Sure would hate to have dial-up, you would never be able to read anything.
I have the same bike, and I really love the badges. I like that early seventies look, but like one of the other guys posted, it's your bike. You gotta do what makes you happy.
