I'm thinking of blacking out the lower part of the bike to include the brake arm and the rod for the shifter. I have mids an was looking to see if anyone has come across any aftermarket mid-control brake arms? Also, how difficult is it to pull that thing off? I've been looking at other bikes and saw a stock harley with a black shift rod, not the link, that holds the toe shifter. It was slotted and looks like it would be perfect. While not asking for a needle in the haystack type search, has anyone seen any shift rods that would work for this?
Also if anyone has their mids and is willing to part with them let me know. My other option for blacking them out is painting what is there but I'd like to see what other options are out there.
And no I can't do forwards. I got the short legs. Sat on a Fat Bob with forwards the other day and I wouldn't have as much fun I think plus I'd have to get a bigger brake pedal and toe shifter.
I am thinking about doing that with the footpeg brackets, shifter, and rear brake. But as close as those parts are to the road I think powdercoating would hold up better than paint. IMHO of course.
