I can sit in the same traffic in the same 95 degree heat and I don't get the overheating problems I had.
Works for me!

Thanks. I have learned a few things, and that also some folks have misconceptions. Even when you are not moving an external oil cooler provides some relief as the oil is still being piped out of the engine into a cooler that is a leat 10-20 degrees cooler than the internal engine temps. I may rig a small electric fan connected to a sensor and have to blow on the oil cooler when the oil line hits 260f or so.
Thanks.

The only thing about thermo-dynamics I know is that the more magnets you have on your refrigerator, the colder it keeps the beer.

Could you please explain?
I' m always willing to learn.
How is theoil cooler going to remain 10-20 degrees cooler, short of having air going thru it?
If the oil coming from the crankcase is at say 200 degrees, goes into a cooler, after a very short while the cooler is going to get at or very near the same temperature (200 degrees), other than a slight radiant heat give off much like a heat sink in electronics.
And as a aside, why does the electric fan on the newer cages come onwhenstuck in traffic(not moving).
Heck, they even come on after the engine is shut off, sometimes.
Thank You
