My girlfriend wants to ride with me so I am looking for a 2 up seat. I am not sure if I want to drop alot on a new seat now so I am looking for a stock take off on ebay. My question is which stock 2 up seat either the FXDC, FXDL, or SE Dyna is the most confortable for trips no more then about 80 miles in a day. I may also consider a Badlander if I can find a used one, how confortable are those? I am more concerned with passenger confort, I can tough it out since we wont be going on long rides when riding 2 up. Thanks for any input.
I have a Badlander for my2-up seat. The girlfriend says it's ok. Just hurts a little when we hit bumps. But she doesn't really have anything else to compare it to cause it's the only seat she's ridden on.
I got one from a newer Super Glide Custom. Think it looks sweet on a Bob. Comfort is not too bad. I went about 240 miles on it and my *** hurt, but for shorter rides, it should be okay. A buddy has a stock Wide Glide seat, and he says his wife doesn't mind it. I just like the look of this one over the WG one. You can see it installed on my bike in my sig.
Do yourself and your GF a favor, look for a used sundowner. They are all over ebay and can be had for about 150. Go one for my 07 WG and wife loves it. Best bang for the buck IMO
My wife likes the Sundowner. She was used to an 8 inch wide pillow top on my sportster. This is like a Lay-Z-Boy compared to that. As you stated, passenger comfort, not looks.

I just bought the touring seat from Chicago Harley for the times my wife rides and she loves it. She didn't care much for the stock seat that came with the bike (06 FXDCI). The seat is HUGE but it gets replaced with the solo seat when she isn't on it so I don't mind.
You could go with the passenger pillion and just change it out, that's what I use the S.O. likes it and I think it was around $100.00, real easy to change and does'nt look too bad.
