2008 Speedometer Question (actually for a 2007)
I just learned on my buddy's Softail Deluxe (2008), his speedometer shows how many miles he has left when he hits reserve.
Now I was really stoked when I picked up my 2007 Super Glide and learned that there was a clock on the speedo. Being married with children, this was the ultimate upgrade from my 92 FXR...
But to learn now there's more! My damn fuel light comes on when I am a little less than 1/2 a tank. It's worthless!
Anyone know if there is a "firmware" upgrade I can get? That really is a nifty little feature.

If you stand the bike up before you turn the ignition switch I have found I get a lot better reading on my fuel guage. When I start it sitting on the kickstand it is always way off the mark. The mileage count down would be a nice option though.

+1 on standing it up before starting, but the gauges on these bikes suck. Forget about it if you ever put a tank lift on, it only gets worse. Just go by mileage.......
