I've been working on a Super Glide I bought used a year ago and have changed just about everything you can imagine. I didn't like the layout of the bike but hell it was cheap and had low mileage so why not. I've made all the engine mods, exhaust, chrome, wheels, etc. now it's time for paint. I don't like the tank on the super glide eventhough I've added the chrome console, gas cap and fuel gauge. I really don't like the ingition on the frame, it's just doesn't look right; I want it up on the tank likeitssuppose to be.
So here's my questions, have any of you changed the tank, etc on a super glide with that from another dyna, like a wide glide? How about the ignition? I'd also like to change the rear fender to something that is more rounded without the "dyna ridge".
I know you all are thinking why don't you just buy another bike - well, I've got too fricking much money tied up in this engine, wheels, seats, etc. to walk away so it's time to make another few mods.
it's a 2006 super glide. I have a RKC and the ignition switch is where it's suppose to be. Just wondering if anyone had moved the ignition on a super glide to the tank. And if anyone had swapped the tank from a wide glide to a super glide.
