Got one of them myself, thought it would come in handy filling the space, instead of getting a laydown number plate. comes in handy too...

I like it - looks good. Sarge - just went for a ride with the wife Saturday and she wasn't too happy on the back of the Wide Glide for several hours, even with breaks. She wants me to get a geezerglide too - no problem, but then the WG gets stripped down a bit.
Let's both keep our fingers crossed and maybe it will all work out in our favor.

Could you have gone the quick release route? That way it's only on there when you need it.

I have never found a quick detach sissy bar and/or luggage rack for a '92 Dyna. Not saying others won't work, but I haven't found any that specifically mention they'll work on this year. I finally just gave up and went the standard mounted type.

I just bought a nice round canvas bag for the luggage rack for everyday use. It has the hard plastic inside, so it keeps it's shape. It's not completely round, though. You open it up from the top, which is kinda flat.

I'll put it on tonight and take pics. Why? Because I like posting pics of my bike and hearing compliments on it. I ADMIT IT.

Yes, looks stupid. Ruins entire line of rear fender. I had one once - put it on, sold it next day on eBay.

Honestly the bike would look better without it but like you say you need it there. I wouldn't worry about it.

This thread is six months old. The orignal poster traded in the Dyna and now rides a RK.

Well..........
I have one just like it. Never used it as a rack. I never cared for the look. I dumped it and put on the layback plate holder.
My rack is setting on my work bench.

Looks fine. If you need a place to put stuff it's very functional. besides, who cares what others think? You'll never please them all.
