RE: Does this look stupid? (luggage rack installed)
ORIGINAL: sargek
I like it - looks good. Sarge - just went for a ride with the wife Saturday and she wasn't too happy on the back of the Wide Glide for several hours, even with breaks. She wants me to get a geezerglide too - no problem, but then the WG gets stripped down a bit.
Let's both keep our fingers crossed and maybe it will all work out in our favor.

Could you have gone the quick release route? That way it's only on there when you need it.

I have never found a quick detach sissy bar and/or luggage rack for a '92 Dyna. Not saying others won't work, but I haven't found any that specifically mention they'll work on this year. I finally just gave up and went the standard mounted type.
RE: Does this look stupid? (luggage rack installed)
I just bought a nice round canvas bag for the luggage rack for everyday use. It has the hard plastic inside, so it keeps it's shape. It's not completely round, though. You open it up from the top, which is kinda flat.
I'll put it on tonight and take pics. Why? Because I like posting pics of my bike and hearing compliments on it. I ADMIT IT.
Well..........
I have one just like it. Never used it as a rack. I never cared for the look. I dumped it and put on the layback plate holder.
My rack is setting on my work bench.
