Gravity is a biatch! I haven't yet, cross my fingers, but I know it's going to be a time when I least expect it because that's when you let your gaurd down and take things for granted.

Forget the sharp curve you go into 10 mph too quick...it's that stupid little down hill grade or a driveway dip when you pucker that balloon knot into your throat because you almost lost it.

 

I got a new derby cover out of my foul up. Tried turning around at slow speed insand that was softer than expected. Doesn't work well.

A broken ego s easy to fix. Glad you're okay, and that you were able to make it back home. (oh yea, glad it was you and not me)

 

I'd call that a "drop" rather than a "lay down" which to me means a low side slide at speed. I doubt you'll meet many riders who've never dropped a bike at one time or another. Like Scooter Wench testified, that front brake during a slow speed turn can be like a bike dump switch.
