Best ratio depends on what you're doing. For light throttle cruising, 14.7 is "Perfect". To make power, it should be a little richer, like 12.5-13.0:1

There's only one way to know what your mixture is - a wide band sensor like the LM-1. But, if it's running great and getting decent fuel mileage, leave it alone.
