Default A few changes...(pics)

After seeing Vampire's black engine guard, I decided to paint mine (and use black allen head bolts) to hide it a bit. Iwon't get rid of it because I like the highway pegstoo much, but I wanted it to stand out less. I added a chrome upper belt guard to even it out front to back some, too.I also painted mysaddlebag supports from the bottom of the strut covers down along with my homemade 1.5" tank lift (easiest yet-soon to be described in the under $50 thread). I'm gonna have to redo the bag supports as the paint wore off in a couple of high contact spots, but the semi-flat black color hides them well. My bike ispretty bagger-like much of the time, but I wanted it to look a little leaner when naked (that goes for bikes and wives, I guess).

Painting the engine guard black definately makes it blend in to the frame better.

Nice looking bike...although I've never been a fan of crash bars on Dyna's, but thats just me. Where did you get those boards, first ones I've seen that actually look like they belong there ?

Dawg,

That looks great. Gloss black finish on the bar? Blends in perfectly.

Looks real good Dawg. Couldyou post more pics of the rear floorboards? Like looking down on them from above? I am thinking about getting these to keep the misses happy.

I'm not a fan of crash bars either, but they were on there when I bought it, and after adding the highway pegs, I learned to live with it. The boards are factory Dyna Defender boards that were ordered on there.

It's semi-flat (I'd call it a satin finish), which is a little less glossy than the frame, but I think it makes the bar less noticable (not shiny).

I'll try to post some later from above with the passenger boards folded out.

I'm with you Dawg on the highway pegs. Like the black engine guard.

Ride Safe.

You know what I like about your bike best? The unpainted engine. To me, that's the way it should look.
