The ride shouldnt be that much worse that i have now. the rear suspension is so stiff you can run over a quarter and damn near tell if its showing heads or tails (hell it didnt even give when the rim bent). As for ruining the bike for the pipes... there is a constant in my universe that every vehicle I ever own will eventually become so disfigured- frankensteined- that no one else on the planet can operate it or would want to own it. (I have a 79 lincoln town car that I use for bracket racing and photos of my 12 speed dodge truck <three on the tree AND a four speed in the floor> as proof.) It is only a matter of time before my bike gets there. I should have the struts early next week and will give a full report (gonna try to ride to the alamo next sunday- about 200 miles-) I will attatch photos and copies of any needed x-rays, or chiropracter's bills. (And yes I do know a good one... she's also an exotic dancer.) lookin forward to it.
