When I've been out riding and put the bike away, I'll sometimes notice a quarter sized liquid under the bike the next morning when I come out in the garage. It always appearsin the general area ofthe front of the rear tire. It doesn't do it very often, but none the less it happens. Here's what I can't figure out....It's not oil, It doesn't smell like gas,and it's odorless.Within about 24hrs. it evaporates off the floor and is gone. This is on my 2008 Dyna lowrider. Is it possibly a little acid from the battery? I didn't see any overflow tube though like the batteries I've had before. I haven't been in for my 1000 mile check-up yet but was wondering if any of you have seen this before and can tell me what it is. Thanks..
Thinking it's the overfill vent for the gas tank. Maybe, just maybe it's been absorbed by the floor enough to not smell like gasoline. Also, evaporating that quick makes it seem to be gas. Finally, the spot you describe where it's coming from is where the vent tube is. Guess we'll wait to see what the others that chime in have to say, beause by no means am I an expert...

You didn't say if it's colorless as well as odorless. If it's colorless, odorless and evaporates, my money is on condensation from the lower tail pipe (ends in about the right spot.)
The overflow for the gas makes sense as I don't think the battery has the overflow tubes anymore. At least one I can find. I thought about condensation from the exhaust toobut its in the middle by the front of the rear tire and isn't in line with the front pipe. I'll try and catch it sooner and see if I can smell gasoline.
It doesn't do it all the time? Could it be after you wash it and then ride water dripping from the seat or someplace? Place a couple of paper towels on the floor and catch it and see if you can tell what it is. Might want to talk someone into getting you a Gremlin bell.
Betcha it does it on the days you fill your bike up. The first time mine did that I left a drippy trail out of a parking lot and realized I had just filled the bike up, parked it in the hot sun and let the fuel vapors expand. The fuel then filled up the overflow tube and left a trail out of the parking lot. And the drips were right in front of the rear tire.......[sm=alcoholic.gif]
Well the AGM batteries don't vent, gas wouldsurely have an odor, I'm going with trapped water some where in the frame or seat. Don't the new dynas have a trans vent tube that drains in that area, maybe it's water vapor from the trans as it's coming up to warm temps, much like your breath on a cool morning. My 2 cents.

+1 This is condensation (water). Gasoline isn't odorless.
