I want to install mid mount footpegs on my 07 Street Bob. My bike has the forward controls, which it came with and has no mid footpeg brackets.
I want to install just mid pegs but keep my forward pegs and controls, so on long trips I can move my legs around a little on the bike.
I believe the HD part numbers for the bracketsare: 50649-90 for the bracket footrest and 50639-90A for the bracket.
My question is how hard are these to install? I know that on one side, the right I think, the bracket goes up and over the exhaust pipe.
I can and do simple things on my bike and have a lift. Not sure of the difficulty of this project. If it is too involved I will just have the dealer do it.
It's just 2 bolts on the bottom, at least on the right side, I had to loosen mine when I put my pipes on. I didnt have a lift at the time, should be very easy for you. I think they wereallen headhead bolts
All the Dynas with mids had a cut-out or indentation in the front heat shield to allow the mid-mount to fit over the exhaust pipe. You may need to consider this in your installation, depending on yoru exhaust.

The mount fits fine with my V&H BSS. I could see how it might be an issue depending on the pipes. Still, I wouldnt take it to a shop to have this done, very easy mod.
