Glad you hear you are ok - we get debris (mud) washing down on the road in the Texas hill country also - makes me nervous when we ride after a rain because that stuff is slick. The bike will get fixed, and as others have said: it's a great opportunity to add goodies

A buddy of mine about 15 years ago had a lady hit the brakes in a parking lot in front of him. His right handlebar kissed her backleft fender and down hewent sans helmet. He hasn't worked since and now is kinda goofy, can't read or write, doesn't remember how to play guitar which he was pretty darn good at, and forgets things in a serious way. Thank the MAN you are OK and you had appropriate gear on.

You have no idea how familiar that sounds and looks. My left bar went into my tank about an inch deep and I landed 40 feet away.
