Upgraded to Forwards on the SB and now I've got that silly looking drop down on the forward heat shield. Anyone got any suggestions? I've heard front from a DG will fix??? Anyone got a spare laying around?
CK, what you need to look for is a shield off of a CVO SE Dyna or a Wide Glide. Both of those bikes come with forwards standard and no indention in the heat shields. Before I got my pipes, I picked up one from a SE Dyna and it worked great. I gave it away to a member here that wrecked his bike and needed some new ones to rebuild.
2007, Thanks for the info, I'll keep looking for one......BTW, what tank badges are those, I've been trying to find them for a while now. Also, how do you like the HD Progressives on your bike??? Do you ever ride 2 up???

The badges I got on ebay a few months ago. They are fairly prevalent at any given time I think.
The shocks are great. I found I need them on the 2nd to lowest setting for best results for me. Weekend before last, my wife and I did a lot of riding 2-up and they performed great without changing the setting.
You can keep an eye out here and on ebay for some heat shield takeoffs from one of those 2 models. I found some here from a 07 SE dynabut I had to buy the entire set of head pipes and shields to get the 1 shield I needed. So, I paid for the whole set but had them only ship the shields to save on shipping. I've also heard some people say they called their dealer and told them to keep an eye out for some takeoffs they could use.
