O K I HAVE AN2006 WIDE GLIDE, 6 SPEED, 5TH GEAR I HAVE A WHINE NOT BAD. DOES ANYONE ELSE?

 

well fifth and first gear is not the design as the other gears, at least with my 08... they will sound diffrently. but since we both have 6 speeds i will guess they are similar if not the same gear setup.

if it bothers you drop by the dealer and talk to the dudes in service about it.

 

yes,I also get the whine.its caused by a straight cut fifth gear.switched to bel-ray trans oil.it helped but i still hear it.

 

How can you hear 5th gear? Mine doesn't like 5th until 60 mph. With a helmet, SE tapers and wind noise, I can barely hear my valves.

 

'06 DWG...don't hear it on my 6-spd.

[&o] + 2 .....If I move and lean around on the bike, yeah, I can hear things...but, thats not the way I ride and I don't have a windshield to echo noises.....Long story short, the only thing I hear are the pipes and the wind.

 

THANKS GUYS JUST HAD TO REPLACE INNER PRIMARY BEARING!! NEVER HEARD IT UNTIL NOW

 

i have had that noise since i.ve had my 06 sg.. the bike runs and shifts good.. should i call my local stealer about it.
