When I picked up my FXDCI 06 from my UK dealer he handed me a typed sheet which said; under 50 for first 50 miles then up to 65mph until 500 miles then up to 75mph until the first free service at 1000 miles. No long constant speed trips vary the engine speed and keep the engine from 'lugging' at low revs. Have done 290 miles so far yet to really use 6th gear. Going in for the recall on the neutral light problem on Tuesday. I will get them to change the engine oil as well.

You didn't hurt anything. Most of these motors have been run at the factory and not gently either.

I pulled out of the dealer and blasted it up to 85..just had to...it was just that once, and then I babied it for a couple hundred miles. Seems fine now with 1500 on the odo.
