I'm not getting the 25's after all. My bike is in the shop to have them installed but my service magager just called me and I have pretty much changed my mind on getting them. My bike runs perfectly anyways so it's not like I'm missing out on anything. He has a good friend that works at the MoCo and has for 36 years. He called and spoke to him and without going into a lot of detail let's just say that this bulletin is primarily directed at 06 EFI bikes that are not Dyna's.
There were a lot of caveats to this conversation but when it was all said and done with all questions answered I pretty much feel better about leaving the 8's in instead of getting the 25's.
i checked the part number on a 06 streetbob on the showroom floor and it had 25s in them.i do beleve streetbob is a dyna so y would it have 25s in it????

I didn't say the Dyna's did/would not have 25's in them.
I think they're changing across all platforms for easy of assembly sake as Motosurf mentioned above. All I'm saying is that I'm more than content to leave my 8's alone for now.
What you should do is either use some sort of lemon law to get rid of your bike or else try to get the 25's if you think they will solve your problem. I know it makes no sense because it's a new bike but if the dealer won't change yours then you should just buy them yourself and install them. It's a pretty easy job. Also there is no new download (street legal) for these 25's. It's just a straight swap.

[sm=exactly.gif] I have tried to get my 8 degree injectors to cause hard starting, popping and to run rough by starting in cold, hot, and by using poor throttle technique, but they run great and perform in an outstanding manner. My bike runs perfect. BTW, I rode behing a Street Bob that had the 25 degree injectors and had a remap after installing Thunderheader exhast and it was backfiring and popping every time he let up from the exhaust. Sooooo, I don't think a change to 25s will do any good if your bike is running good, and I don't think they are a cure all. As the bulletin says they are a fix for those customers that had cold starting issues and other small issues.

Bingo...mine too. I can't make it run bad if I try...knock on wood. 8's are great!! [8D]
The only issue I am having (SE pipes/fact. d/l) is a very slight surge around 20-25 mph in 2nd. I think I may wait until I return from deployment and see where the saga has lead before doing anything with the injectors.....what was that advice you gave me a week or so ago PC? lol
