I have never heard that "Harley Parkinson". I would check both models out and test ride. I for one like the traditional looking bike and the performance was important for me. I rode the Soft Tails and couldn't get the ride I wanted. The models are both Harley and thats important to me so good luck with your purchase. I for one don't consider the "style over performance issue" the Dyna models look great.
Another difference...Dyna's you sit IN the bike, Softails you sit ON the bike. If you've ever ridden a Softail you'll know exactly what I mean.
Not true at all. you sit in the softail and on the dyna ... Not so cool guys to rag on another bike.... who cares. just ride what you want and be cool about it. Like i said before, loved my dyna but with my heritage i can go a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng way and be in comfort. when you hit the big 50, the back and body don't feel as good, LOL... Cracks me up how some dimbo's like to rag on other peoples bikes...... Chill is the word .
If i was looking at ST I would just move up to street glide or road king for better handiling and ride. Personally I find the soft tail a bit sloppy to ride but then again I bought a Dyna and money was not the issue just likethe Handling and Ride if I was doing long touring for weeks at a clip prob RK
difference between dyna and softail is the thread . Funny how threads always get twisted...... my bikes better than your bike. my bikes better than yours thread, LOL... Lets face it whatever bike we own, we always say it is the best.... [sm=bustedsign.gif]
mainly the shocks, and the counter balanced motor... you will hear mixed reviews on power to the tire from counter balanced... in all reality, some of the best race motors use counterbalanced... yet dynas have a rubber mounted (why the shake and the female passanger is always smiling) in my PERSONAL opinion, i think you get much more power to the road with the dyna... i have seen the same builds done on motors and the dyna took off alot better where the softy did some wicked burn outs pretty much any time he slammed on it... i am not sure if that was due to the shocks in back or what... it all depends on what kind of riding oyu are looking to do... both are great bikes... and have + and - over eachother... what would i do... look at the sig... i rock out with my shocks out, i am not scared to let em hang
