I think $8900 is to high. Heck 2008brand new super glides are only $12,000. Last year I picked up a 81 Shovel Super glide for $6000 that the owner put $1000s into it. I have seen EVO super glides and wide glides for around $6K also.

Sorry to hijack the thread but did you have to do any major engine work during that time?
only engine work done was base gaskets along with the cam and set of rings when had it apart heads never touched.75000 miles set of lifters.Truthfully the bike prob go another 75000 miles before needing a rebuild.at 52000 miles the cam along with micky carb
