I need some advice if anyone can provide it. On my 08 FXDC, I installed the PC with set of V&H Short shots, and AN Big Sucker filter. The basic map sent by seller and pwrcmmdr.com is for 07-08 Dyna with V&H Big Shots and SE filter. Runs good with a very slight pop every once in awhile on decel. Pulled the plugs today and found that rear cylinder is running lean and front cylinder is lean also but not as white as rear cyl..Called a few places in the Houston area to get a Dyno-tune but the earliest I can get back in is2 1/2 weeks plus they r charging out the wazoo. Does anyone know how much i can or should manually adjust the PC to have it run a little richer while im waiting to get bike into shop? Any suggestions would be helpful at this point..
You might try calling Jim Sabin at Sabin Performance in Dallas. He's a sharp tuner and might be able to turn you on to a guy in Houston. Jim charged me $200 for my dyno tune. Worth every penny.

The canned maps I've seen were tuned to one cylinder, then the settings were copied to the other cylinder. That would account for the difference.
Best thing is to get it dynoed and make sure they map each cylinder seperately.
In the mean time you could increase the settings in the first fewcolumns of each table to richen the mixture at the closed and nearly closed throttle positions. Make sure you save the current map in case you need to go back to it.
You could also load a different map. Use the map compare feature in the software and compare the map you are running to something similiar and you will be able to find a richer map. Powercommander's website has a tutorial on how to use the map compare feature. Just because they are labeled for different set ups, doesn't mean you can't try them. For example, I have used the map for S/E IIs when running a 2 - 1. Also check Powercommander's website for any updated maps they may have for your set up....
I tried adding a value of "10" at the "0 throttle position" on all the RPM ranges.
This has taken away almost all decell popping.
I may go a little fatter....
DECELL POPPING
Decell popping is caused by the detonation of unburnt fuel in the exhaust pipe. This
happens with high flow exhausts that allow more fresh air to be pulled into the pipe,
causing the exhaust temperature to rise and detonate the fuel. Ways to reduce and
possibly eliminate this popping are:
1. Block off fresh air injection systems. This will reduce the air being fed into the
pipe, causing the higher temperature.
2. Adjust the fuel table to remove fuel during decell. Highlight from 2000rpm to
redline in the zero percent column. Insert a â40 to â50 into the cells. Rev the
bike and see if the popping has reduced or stopped.
3. If it is still popping try a +10 to +15 instead of the negative numbers. The added
fuel will cool the exhaust so it wonât pop. But to much added will have a
noticeable effect to the fuel mileage.
4. Do not do any changes at 1500rpm; this may effect how the bike idles.
5. Sometimes going to the ignition table and advancing the timing 3 to 5 degrees can
help too.
This might help. I can send you an adobe file with pictures if you email me.
I added 15 from0 throttle position all the way upto 2500 RPM. I have Big Radius Pipes with no back pressure at all and had severe backfireing on decel. After the change I can not get it to backfire ever no matter how I drive it. Give it a try you'll be pleased.
