Yours is silver powder coat right? Mine is black powder coat. I like the contrast.
Yep, silver. I like contrast too, but there's plenty of silver all around there. Just thought it would look nice to have the inner chrome not to mention saving money on labor since they'd have to have the old one off anyways.
I absolutely love that we, forum readers, can walk into a service department better informed than some of those that work there. Or, at the very least, better informed than 90% of most owners. This is SUCH an advantage. Not that this particular bulletin will affect us, but, it's great to show your knowledge to those whose hands your bike is left. We are less likely to get the runaround. Thanks so much for posting this.
Griz, do keep us in the loop on the injector piece. I'd like to hear all about the before and after.
I'm bringing my rig in for the 1K service this morning and have my lines on surging and hard starting rehersed. If they refuse, I'm not going to loose any sleep but getting the injectors/map replaced would be nice.
ORIGINAL: grizzly
That be the one he showed me. Thanks!
Tranny problems gone...now if this injector deal works out....we will be good to go!
I wonder if they will still have to still honor the 15000 mile insp as the siged ageement . I liked the idea my self good time for clutch replacment and free fluid change and to keep an eye on every thing in the primary.

The injector peice is up in the air. I may wait for further discussion...........
OK.. so have I screwed up.. I had my recall tranny work done and had them change my inner primary to achrome one ..(to save the labor).. I am only at 3500 miles on the bike.
Is the primary they put on going to be comparable to original equipment???

oh yeah...What injector issue?
You didn't screw anything up. In fact you got done exactly what I wanted to get done when 15K miles came up and I had the inner primary bearing checked by getting that chrome inner primary installed.
The chrome inner IS original equipment, it's just a chrome version.
See the injector threads to catch up on that whole issue.
Hey, if you've got a picture of your bike with that chrome inner installed please either post it or email it to me. I'd like to see it. I will probably do that anyways.
