The "BAD LUCK BOB!"
I absolutely love Dynas and FXR's. It's become our specialty. Building fast, great handling dynas. Of all of them I've built...this new 08 Street Bob has to be the most aggravating of all!! First, HD decided to integrate the damn risers...so we had to round up 07 trees. Odd size rotors, giving us very few options with brakes. Different size axle this year...ah, the list goes on. So, after spending a month chasing down parts, waiting on powdercoating etc. We finally start going back together with it. Lastnight, couldn't get the wiring pulled through the custom 13" T bars. Today, snapped a rotor bolt off in the front wheel on the powdercoated Superglide Mags. Trying to drill it out....breaking bits!! Man, this one is tough!!! The plan was to have it finished this weekend. But, I don't see that happening. No doubt though, this is going to be one more "BLACKED OUT" bike. IF, we ever get it done! Anyone know a good excorsist? LOL!!

Have you tried a bigger hammer? They always say that'll do the trick. Seriously, dude, as a fellow 08 Dyna owner, I feel your pain.

Yeah, make sure you send pics Greg. Can't wait to see it. I had the mags powdercoated solid black. Everything was goin' good until the rotor bolt debacle, well sort of, lol!! To top it all off, I gotta call from one of my bros and one of my ex-club brothers went down today. Seems he's gonna be alright, but completely wasted his bike. Man, sometimes it pays to stay in bed!!
Gonna try drilling the bolt out again tomorrow with titanium bits. Should do the trick, hopefully!
