Demonstrators and windshields
My nearest dealer (100 miles) ran their annual demo day in my town on Saturday. They run it so you go out with a shop leader the demo,s and a shop follower.
Never rode a balanced motor before so i tried a Heritage softtail, nice ride, its strange but even though it had a stage one with screaming eagles the sound feel (its hard to desribe this) was quite a bit different to my Bob. Almost a little too refined, without the rugged punch of the rubber mounted motor. It had a screen fitted which i,ve gotta say would be really useful on a longer ride, what do you guys think of screens any preferable makes?
Also took out Buell Lightning 1200 s, man what a ball. I,ve read they handle well and man it does. Stops and turns on a dime fast 80-95 mph sweepers absolutely beautiful. If you have,nt tried a Buell have a ride if you can they really do make you smile. When funds allow i shall put one in the garage to keep the Bob company.
All in all a great day.
