I finally installed a fender rack on my WG. I like the clean lines. I never thought saddlebags looked good on a Dyna. I travel light, so the rack will hold enough stuff to travel overnight.
The images show the rack with and without a travel bag.
I agree with you...I have the rack too. I don't think I'd like saddlebags on a wide glide. I ended up buying the overnight bag for the deuce. It just so happened that it fit perfectly mounted on the sissy bar, and resting on the rack. What kind of bag is that you have there?
The bag is an HD made specifically for the bobtail fender rack. The straps underneath fit the rack perfectly. There are also some D rings on the side to bungee cord other items if you need to. It's made of Cordura, and is water resistant.
HD 98868-98.
Kury makes some that are similar, but this one is specifically for the bobtail fender rack.
RDE, with a sissybaron the back you can get bigger bags to hld more clothes. I have a T-bag, and my wife and I had gone to a HOG rally for 3 days and had enough room. Just something to past by you.
that rack looks great just bought a 06 dwg and that was one of the options i put on it but the best was a 2into1 hard krome side burner exaust has a 4 inch side cut bet mine is louder than yours lol
Gonna wait on a sissy bar. I ride solo so what I carry is my own. I guess if I really need more space I can fit a small backpack on the passenger seat and lash it down to the D rings on the roll bag and seat strap. Should give me plenty of room.
Do you have an aftermarket trim ring on your headlight? Or is that just the angle...I have not been able to find one.
I have the visor style trim ring for the headlight and front turn signals on my DWG...you can buy them right off harley's website...part # 69735-05 (headlight trim ring)
