Looking to keep my midglide setup buy increase the rake and add some chrome. Looking at the 3 degree trees. They should net the same results as a wide glide conversion. Anyone have these trees on their ride?? The reason I am looking at these..... I installed a 120/70-21 tire in front on my low rider. I would like to level out the bike. The front raised about 3/4". I could either put lowering springs in front, or increase the rake. obviously one is less expensive then the other.
Yes, I have the 5 degree trees on my S.B. Be aware it changes completely the way the bike handles. If you have already lowered the rear then you know it drags a lot more when cornering. I also had to build the $20.00 wooden bike lift to raise it enough to get it on my red Sears bike lift. The trees are beautiful on the bike and set it off nicely. Check out my pics in the gallery. Enjoy the ride !
HI you can get that from seeger cycles.com. i have the one which i add 13 deg rake with 8 inch over forks. i like it a lot better than stock. bike handles great. they have the 5 deg rake kit. these are made in germany and are some of the best on the market.here is a picutre of mine. otto
I used the accutronix rake and trail calculator to figure the trail of the stock 07 lowrider. If I have all the measurements correct. The trail is 3.85.
Weigs,
Another alternative and FREE, is to just slide the tubes up a bit in the trees. I've done this to several customers bikes. This way, you can get the desired ride height you want in the front and make the adjustments needed with out breaking the bank!
