friggin' nail!
well guys,it was bound to happen: stopped at my buddies tatoo shop yesterday on the scooter,was talking to a guy about his 2003 100 anniv. lowrider,he said he liked my spoke wheels,I said yea,the only thing that has me worried is getting a flat along the road with the tubed tires. my buddy closed up and got his 79 flh out,and we went for a ride and i'll be damned if i did'nt get a nail in my back tire about 12 miles from home,had to get a tow truck,so today i am off to the dealer with back wheel in hand. talk about karma!!

Yep,I had that happen and ever since, I have been looking for a Deuce rear wheel to replace my rear and some other cast for the front, or if a good deal comes up on a FatBob, I might just trade.

If you've got a leather handlebar pouch etc you could keep a tire plug kit with you. If you've got plenty of tread left on the tire I'd either run a plug or seperate the tire from the wheel and get a plug/patch installed. we use to run them on our crotch rockets all the time and never had any problems and we were hauling azz on them bikes!!!
