06 Exhaust Question

I the only differance on the 2006 dyna models is that they has the o2's compaired to the earlyer models.

FXDBI, as far as I know that about it because the o2's on them lets the computor know what the engine is running as for as lean or rich.

as far as i can tell my o2 sensors aint telling my computer nuthing cause mine it justa popping and cutting out i rode yesterday not far thou it was 24 degrees and when i got bak i took the plugs out and they were so hot they almost melted i mean the whole tip is bright white

are the 02 sensors positioned on the pipe just where it exits the head?
that explains the blanks screwed into the pipes on my brothers fxdi35. I guess its an early model without the sensors.
so if thats the case does anyone know how the efi runs if it has no feedback. does it just run on "normal, or nominal" mode, ?and if he changes pipes it wont even know it and will make no attempt at adjusting itslef to correct the leaness that will be added??
