I had some bad luck this weekend. I was moving my bike and my foot slippedand I lost my balance. Of course the bike got to far to one side and ended up going down. I tried to save it but my foot ended up getting crushed. A trip to the ER and a set of crutches later and now I won't be riding for awhile. They are not sure what is wrong with it yet but I won't be putting any weight on it in the near future. Good news is my foot took the brunt of the accident. No significant damage to the bob other than a small scratch on the end of the clutch lever and a little dirt on the derby cover. One of those slow motion accidents.
Hey that's real bad luck - hope the foot gets better real soon so you can ride pain free again.
Done similar over the years on one or two occaisions with fortunately minimal damage to me and the bike. I remember when I was a scrawny teenager working on an old Norton 350 with apes and all when it fell on me and pinned me down on the floor - had to wait while my girlfriend (now wife) got my Mum so that they could pull it off me. Also remember pulling up once or twice at a petrol station - all cool - putting the side stand down (so I thought) and ending up in a crumpled heap on the floor mixed up in the bike.
I have the Gremlin bell that my friend bought me sitting on my counter in the kitchen. I guess sinceI won't be riding for awhile I will have time to put it on the bike. I guess it doesn't work just being in the vicinity of the bike!!
Did the same thing when I first got the bike. Other than the stupid look on my face and a scratched derby cover, no damage. No one was even around to see it.
Because I am constantly doing stupid stuff,I find myself constantly looking around for prospective witnesses.
Most of us have done the same thing at one time or another. Only Harley riders are more concerned about if the bike was damaged than their foot..Hope you're back riding soon.

Man, ain't that the truth, RN.
Sorryto hear you took one for the (bike) team.
As long as nothings broke, on your foot, you should be back at it in no time.
Was it you shifter or brake foot?
You must be in some real pain to be posting at 4 am. Probably going to miss the best riding season of the year. (I take that back before it gets cold.) Hope you're up and riding healthy soon. Don'trisk itbefore your foot can take the weight. How long did your bike lie there and who picked it up?
