I finally got around to moving the signals to the forks. Looks much better. Instead of trying to fish out the signal wires I bought another pair of fleabay and just cut the ones free from teh switch box and left the wire in the bars. It really was difficult to cut perfectly good wires but I did not want the headache of trying to ge the wires out. I really do not like taking the switch boxes off. Here are some crappy images. Will get better ones tomorrow in the sunshine...
If you did this mod how did you run the wires from the signals to the neck? Right now I have mine running in the hole down underneath right near the locking pin.
I have the smoked lens also. Haven't decided which ones to use. Damn all these important decisions to make.
I know once I get to Germany I will have to have the amber back on. They are getting real tough on inspections. They used to let the military slide on a few things like loud pipes.....[:@]
Well I tried a few different ones before I found the ones I have now. They were about 45.00 each, but now that I have them on the bike, I am glad I spent the few extra bucks, nice and small and the view is all that is needed. I was a little hesitant because of their size, but hey, you only need to know if something is there and they do that nicely.
J&P Cycles has them, part # 760-471 and 760-472. Page 788 in the Harley catalog.
