HELP! "Klunky" front shocks! NICE PIX!
Just bought a 2001 FXDWG (beautiful bike!) with 7100 miles. Noticed a "klunky" sound from the front when going over bumps. Not all the time,but enough to tell me something's wrong. Do I need fork oil, or is this possibly more serious?

Nice Ride! Check steering neck bearings, loose gas tank bolts, and go to a heavier fork oil. It's probably due for that anyway. I changed out to 10w fork oil and it made a difference. Again, nice!

Check torque on steering stem nut bolt, use the search function you'll find lots of info, BTW that's a beautiful bike, if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for that?
