Because of the way the Nash measures their Gimps, the 12 inchers are really about the same height as the stock street bob mini-apes. The 16" gimps are more comparable to 14.5" apes. You'll want to keep that in mind.
My sig is of my 16" gimps. Do a search for member 'waterman7474'. He has a set of 12" Gimps on his ride. If you currently have 18" apes that are "regular" apes, the 16" Gimps are going to feel at least 4"+ shorter than what you have now.
Have you thought about their 14" Gimps?? Would be a good compromise.
Personally, I love mine. They are at about a perfect height for me - any higher, and I'd probably feel too uncomfortable (plus, too illegal, here in Illinois).
