Quick belt tension question
Does the drive belt get tighter when sitting on the bike?
Trying to eliminate this whirring noise I have going on back there. Seems to do it when it's hot out. Don't think it's the brake anymore. Rode without using the rear brake and the rotor was pretty cool. I just got the belt tension gauge and checked it on the side stand with no one on the bike (I measured approx 5/16" unladen). I'll check again when i get home with someone to sitting on the bike.

Anyone? Oh it's an 08 Superglide. I was just looking in the service manual and at the top of page it says to check the belt tension with a person similar in weight to the owner but at the bottom of the same page it shows a table with the belt deflection checked on the jiffy stand (5/16" to 3/8") and one with it in the air. I don't get it. Should I check with a person on board on just unladen on jiffy stand?
